Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, North CR 100E, north of East CR 250N, Warsaw. Drive: Ross W. Talbert, 25, East Conquistadores Drive, Scottsdale, Ariz., Hit Deer. Damage up to $5,000.
5:43 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, West CR 900N east of North Orn Road, Milford. Driver; Scott S. Couch, 44, North Chauncey Street, Columbia City. Couch complained of back pain. He was taken to Parkview Hospital. Couch’s semitractor/trailer slid off the roadway and rolled over onto a vehicle driven by Kyra Berkeypile, 20, Penny Lane, Nappanee, which had gone off the road earlier. Damage up to $50,000.
9:08 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, East CR 800N, east of North CR 600E, North Webster. Seth A. Begley, 28, North Albert Eckert Drive Nrth Webster. Begley was pronounced deceased at the scene. Passenger, Michelle Oquendo-Ferreri, 21, Stonewall Court, Nappanee, complained of pain to her entire body and was transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Begley’s vehicle went off the road, through a fence and into a fiend overturning at least three times. Begley was ejected from the vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:59 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, West Elm Street, east of South Third Street, Pierceton. Driver: Travis B. Walls, 17, West Walnut Street, Pierceton. Walls lost control of his vehicle, due to ice, while turning into an alley and struck a tree. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:35 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, North Grandview Drive, south of East Margaret Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Tyree A. Jones, 31, Hickory Road Apt. 2C, Mishawaka, driving a Borden Waste Away Services vehicle. Jones’ vehicle slid off the road hitting a brick post. Damage up to $5,000.
Marshall
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
10:42 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 7200 block 4th Road and Plymouth-Goshen Trail, Bremen. Driver: Alexie K. Meister, Bremen. Meister complained of pain to her head and neck but refused treatment. A passenger, Brock Meister, sustained head and neck injuries and was taken to Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Meister lost control of her vehicle causing it to go into a ditch and roll onto the passenger side before becoming upright.
