Crossroads League Salutes Mangas
AVON, OHIO – This one was a no-brainer.
The Crossroads League announced today that Kyle Mangas is its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The former WCHS star and current Indiana Wesleyan freshman scored a career-high 40 points Saturday as No. 7 IWU topped No. 2 Saint Francis 89-82 in overtime in a huge Crossroads League clash.
Freshman guard Mangas also had 25 points in a 90-81 win over league foe Taylor. He shot 56.9 percent from the field and 94.7 percent from the free throw line in the two conference wins.
Mangas, who was an Indiana All-Star in 2017, also averaged 5.5 rebounds per game in the two wins.
Mangas earns the honor after his former Warsaw teammate Paul Marandet was saluted as the Player of the Week the past two weeks in the conference. Marandet is a sophomore guard at Spring Arbor.
