WARSAW — The Warsaw Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning, Jan. 12,  at the Warsaw Market, located at 801 E. Center St.

At 5:31 a.m., central dispatch received a 911 call from the Warsaw Market manager advising the store had just been robbed at gunpoint, and the suspect had fled the area. The suspect was described as a male wearing a black coat, black gloves and a hoodie. The suspect brandished a large handgun or sawed off shotgun. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

At the time of this release it is unknown if this incident and the robbery on Jan. 2, at the same business are related.
