Founder, CEO Of Destiny Rescue Working To Eradicate Child Slavery
SYRACUSE — Human trafficking is the fastest growing illegal activity in today’s world. Right now there are over one million children trapped in the sex trade who are crying out to be rescued. January is Human Trafficking Awareness month and Destiny Rescue, a non-profit organization committed to rescuing these children, is bringing light to this issue.
In honor of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, Destiny Rescue is launching the Red Shoe campaign. The campaign encourages people to wear red shoes to raise awareness and money to help support the rescue and restoration of more children from exploitation. Participants will post photos on social media using #HerRedShoes. The campaign will run Jan. 11 through Feb. 8. You can get involved or find out more information at go.destinyrescue.org/fundraising.
“We only have two choices; do nothing or do something,” said Tony Kirwan, founder and CEO of Destiny Rescue International.
