Donut Lovers Line Up For Rise’n Roll Grand Opening
WARSAW — The Warsaw Rise’n Roll location held their grand opening this morning, Jan 12. The new franchise, located at 2568 Walton Blvd., Warsaw, across from Walmart, is the seventh franchise for the business.
Despite the icy and cold weather that moved in overnight, people still flocked to the store in hopes of winning free donuts and entering the raffle for a customized Rise’n Roll bicycle. At 6:50 a.m., 10 minutes until the grand opening, nearly 60 people were waiting in a line that stretched down the length of the business complex. Dozens more showed up as the bakery opened at 7 a.m.
The first in line was Scott Flannery, 22, Warsaw, who had camped out Thursday night in order to win a free one dozen donuts every week for the year. Behind Flannery, the first 25 people received a free dozen donuts a month for the year, and the next 74 won a single free cinnamon caramel donut.
The Warsaw location features a drive-thru. Hours for the bakery are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The bakery is closed on Sundays.
The Warsaw Rise ‘n Roll offers other items in addition to their popular donuts, including jams, pickles, beets, salsa, popcorn, noodles, crackers, granola, cheese, sausage rolls, honey, pancake mix, syrup, candy, cake, pies, cookies, milkshakes, sundaes, ice cream donuts and fudge.
Rise’n Rolls other locations include Fort Wayne, Mishawaka, Nappanee, Valparaiso and Greenwood, with the corporate store located in Middlebury.
