Triton Basketball: Busted Pipe Causes Reroutes
BOURBON – Frozen water on the roads wasn’t the only problem found on Monday.
A busted water pipe in the Triton High School lockerroom flooded floor and eventually leaked into the Trojan Trench. The surface was deemed unplayable for Tuesday’s girls basketball contest against Winamac. The game will carry on Tuesday, but will be played at Triton Elementary School, a 6 p.m. JV start with the varsity to follow.
Triton also announced Monday night the boys JV and varsity basketball games against Bethany Christian scheduled for Thursday will also be played at Triton Elementary School. The JV game will start at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
The change in venue has put the Triton junior high games against Bremen, originally scheduled to be played at the elementary school, to be cancelled. Triton’s end of the season has caused the decision to be made.
