Rise ‘n Roll Bakery Set To Open Next Week In Warsaw
WARSAW — The newest Rise ’n Roll Bakery, located at 2568 Walton Blvd. in Warsaw, is set to open at 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, with the first visitors being eligible for giveaway prizes.
The first person in the door will receive a dozen free doughnuts every week for a year. Other prizes include free doughnuts monthly and bicycles, A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for later in the day.
The Warsaw bakery is the seventh franchise store. The other locations include Fort Wayne, Mishawaka, Nappanee, Valparaiso and Greenwood, with the corporate store located in Middlebury.
The Warsaw location features a drive-thru. Hours for the bakery are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The bakery is closed on Sundays.
According to Vince Banks, whose wife, Nina, is one of three co-owners of the Warsaw bakery, they will employ approximately fifteen people at the Warsaw location. Other owners include Nina’s brother, Mark Hanes, Winona Lake, and John Skees, Fort Wayne.
Banks, who retired from Zimmer-Biomet after 18 years with the company, joked, “I’m just here to eat the doughnuts.”
The Warsaw Rise ‘n Roll will offer other items in addition to their popular doughnuts, including jams, pickles, beets, salsa, popcorn, noodles, crackers, granola, cheese, sausage rolls, honey, pancake mix, syrup, candy, cake, pies, cookies, milkshakes, sundaes, ice cream doughnuts and fudge.
Banks said he believes they will carry approximately 18 varieties of doughnuts at the store, including danishes and sticky buns.
Some gluten-free items will also be available.
“We’re excited about bringing Rise ‘n Roll to Warsaw,” said Banks, who added that many people have stopped by the store already. “Once the signs went up, people thought we might already be open.”
A private V.I.P. event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 9.
