Two Dates Available For Daddy’s Little Sweetheart Dance
WARSAW — Due to popular demand, two dates will be offered for the Daddy’s Little Sweetheart Dance this year.
The dances will be held at the Center Lake Pavilion from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, and Saturday, Feb. 10.
“Last year we sold out of tickets within a day and had to turn away quite a few people,” said Heather Frazier, administrative assistant at Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department, “So we hope this will give people who missed the event in previous years a chance to participate.”
This year’s theme is “Under the Sea.” Come and create special, enchanting memories as you dance under the lights, enjoy desserts and have a photo taken to be mailed to your home after the event. Each girl will receive a special gift.
Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased starting Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the Central Park office, 117 E. Canal Street, Warsaw. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The age range for the annual event has been extended this year to include girls ages 3-14 and their adult chaperone (fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, etc). Grandfathers and other male guardians are encouraged to participate.
“This is a very popular event, and many of the couples that attend make plans for it months in advance with hair appointments, dinner reservations and dress shopping,” said Frazier. “It’s a great way for girls ages 3-14 to enjoy a night dancing with their adult male chaperone.”
