KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The National Weather Service has announced yet another wind chill advisory for the Kosciusko area. With the last advisory expiring 8 a.m. this morning, Dec. 31, a new advisory has been issued for 10 p.m. this evening through noon Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken, so be sure to wear a hat and gloves. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin. Expect wind chills to range from 10 below zero to 25 below zero.
The NWS notes that the greatest danger to those outdoors will occur tonight and again Monday night into Tuesday morning.
