Early Morning Fire Results In Total Loss Of Silver Lake Home
SILVER LAKE — At approximately 3:25 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call regarding a fire at 401 N. Jefferson St. in Silver Lake.
Silver Lake Fire Chief John Conley advised it took approximately an hour to control the fire, although emergency personnel remained on scene until 6:30 a.m. The house was reported as being a total loss.
The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time. It was reported that neighboring structures sustained heat damage.
Conley stated that the house was unoccupied, as it was being remodeled after a fire occurred there in October 2016.
Claypool Fire Department, Burket Fire Department and Parkview EMS assisted at the scene.
