Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
11:02 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, North CR 800W, south of West CR 640N, Etna Green. Driver: Gordon E. Scott, 61, Lakeview Drive, Winona Lake. Swerved to avoid a deer causing his vehicle to run off the road and hit a metal pole. Damages up to $2,500.
10:44 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, East Harper Road and East CR 700N, Leesburg. Driver: Alexis T. Young, 19, North Humpty Dumpty Drive, Cromwell. Lost control of her vehicle causing it to run off the road into a utility pole. Damages up to $25,000.
9:03 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, South CR 400E and East CR 600S, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew P. Jagger, 22, Robson Road, Winona Lake. Hit a deer. Damages up to $2,500.
6:47 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, East CR 500N, east of North SR 13, North Webster. Driver: Deana J. Pancake, 51, East CR 500N, North Webster. Pancake’s vehicle hit a pedestrian, Page Kelp, walking on the side of the road. Pancake attempted to avoid Kelp, but he began to walk out in front of her, forcing her to attempt to avoid hitting him but was unsuccessful due to the snow covered road. The man was given a breath test and discovered to have a .195 percent BrAC. Injured; Kelp complained of leg pain and was treated at the scene. Damages up to $2,500.
6:35 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, South CR 600W, north of CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Driver: Angela M. Smith, 40, South CR 1600E, Silver Lake. Hit a deer. Damages up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:55 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, North Detroit Street and Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Delmar H. Mongosa, 26, Vintage Drive, Rochester, and Scott A. Armey, 31, East Barrington Plaza, Warsaw. Mongosa’s vehicle lost traction and slid into the intersection, striking Armey’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
9:29 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 310 Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Robby Wright reported a hit and run accident to his truck. Damages up to $2,500.
