A. Dean Timbers
A. Dean Timbers, 87, Warsaw, passed away at 12:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at his residence.
He was born March 20, 1930, in Rochester, to Robert L. Timbers and Edna (Reese) Timbers. On May 2, 1970, he was married to Peggy Ann (Scott) Timbers, who survives.
Timbers was a 1946 graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester. He joined the U.S. Army and inducted into service on March 13, 1951. He served during the Korean Conflict and was wounded during his time as an Army Photographer and awarded the Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged in 1953.
Dean was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 52 years. After returning home from Korea, he worked in photography and managed the Lake Theater in Warsaw from 1955-1969. In 1969, he started at Kimble Glass in quality control until retirement in 1995. His hobbies were fishing, photography and playing pool with his brother-in-law Dick. Dean really loved his cats, Bruce and Kitty, but more than anything, he especially loved his family. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Ann Timbers, Warsaw; two daughters: Suzanne (John) Flory, Warsaw; Kasey (Jim Mobley) Zazarine, Mulberry, N.J.; grandson: Jordan Timbers, Warsaw; sister: Joyce Clark, Russiaville; sister-in-Law: Julia Timbers, Warren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers: Robert, Clair, and John Timbers.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 29, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. No service is planned, burial will follow at a later date at Palestine Cemetery in Palestine, Indiana.
