Valley Basketball: Vikings Fall To Undefeated LaVille
AKRON – Unbeaten LaVille rode a hot start to down host Tippecanoe Valley in a boys basketball matchup Friday night.
The Class 2-A No. 14 Lancers led 19-7 after the opening frame en route to a 60-43 win over the Vikings in a non-conference contest.
LaVille, which improves to 9-0, led 29-14 at halftime of the game.
Cam Parker paced Valley with 15 points.
Tanner Trippiedi netted 14 points for the Vikings, who fall to 2-8 on the season. Alex Morrison added seven points for the hosts.
Valley shot 14-45 from the field overall, including 5-18 from 3-point land.
Luke Beehler led the way for LaVille with a game-high 22 points.
The Lancers, who are coached by former Plymouth standout Michael Edison, shot 21-43 from the field. LaVille was 9-23 from distance in the win.
Valley hosts Glenn Thursday night in a makeup game from Dec. 9. LaVille plays in the Kankakee Valley Tournament on Friday.
