Manchester Softball: Stacy Picks Huntington, Second Squire To Sign
NORTH MANCHESTER – For the second time this week, the Manchester softball program has a senior signing on to continue playing at the next level.
Kiera Stacy signed her letter of intent Thursday to play softball at Huntington University. Earlier in the week, teammate Sydney Day signed her letter to play at Indiana Wesleyan.
Stacy was one of the big bats for the 20-3 Squires last season, hitting .466 with 26 RBIs and 11 doubles, all which led the team, and was second on the team in runs (28) and hits (34). In the field, Day held down first base and made just two errors in 23 games, good for a .987 fielding percentage.
Seated with Kiera are parents Rita and Joe Stacy. In the back row are Manchester softball coach Brittany Holmes, Huntington University head coach Doug Gower, and Shock travel softball coach Adam West.
