Hillard Collins — UPDATED
Hillard Collins, 72, Winona Lake, passed away at 8:20 p.m., Dec. 18, 2017, his residence.
On July 29, 1945 he was born in Anco, Ky. to Delza and Linda (Allen) Collins. On Aug. 11, 1972, he was united in marriage to Reca Scott in Warsaw.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1964. He worked as a line processor and in maintenance for Serenade Foods retiring in 2010 after 13 years.
He is survived by his wife Reca; sons, Tim (Naomi) Collins of Georgetown, Del.; and Larry Little of Fort Wayne; along with his daughter Sandra (Ken) Parcels of Pierceton. He is further survived by his siblings: Lowell (Betty) Collins of Winona Lake; Glenna (Eugene) Amburgy of Litt Carr, Ky.; Martha Tackett of Topmost, Ky.; Pat Crider of Pikeville, Ky.; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, twin brother Bill Collins and brothers Robert Collins, James Collins and Delza Collins Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22 in Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Pastor Glen Hughes officiating. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22, also at the church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
