Claypool Town Meetings Move To Tuesday For 2018
CLAYPOOL — The last meeting of the year for Claypool town board was kept short Monday night, Dec. 18, with the only business being resolutions and ordinances to close out 2017.
It was made known that, starting next month, meetings will take place on the third Tuesday of the month, 7 p.m. in the Lions Club Building, due to a schedule conflict with town attorney John Barrett.
President Niki Miller revisited old business from last month that had to be put on hold due to board member Liz Heiman’s absence. Faye Neher, board member Larry Neher’s wife, currently opens and closes the town cemetery for $2 a day, $1 for opening and $1 for closing. The board approved that Faye continue this job for 2018.
The board moved on to approve a resolution so clerk-treasurer Pat Warner can appropriate finances and balance the town’s books for the end of the year.
Also approved were ordinances 2017-12-3 and 2017-12-4, a designation of paid holidays for town employees and the 2018 salary ordinance, respectively. No changes were made to paid holidays.
