Ulysses Francis — UPDATED
Ulysses Francis, 74, Warsaw, passed away at 8:46 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, 2017, in his residence. He was born Jan. 15, 1943 to George and Ellen (Meade) Francis in Leander, Ky.
He was united in marriage to Bessie Carolyn “Judy” Francis in Silver Lake on April 14, 1963. Judy preceded him on June 9, 2010. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and the National Guard with a total of eight years of service obtaining the rank of SP-5. He was a truck driver, carpenter and salvager.
He is survived by four children: Mark Francis, Cromwell; Jo (Daryl) Schuetz, Aurora, Colo.; James Francis, Rochester; and Rebecca (Michael) Timmreck, Warsaw; a companion, Judith Kline, Warsaw; brother, Ernest Francis, Warsaw, and 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 22, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Reverend Bob Brown officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday Dec. 21 at the Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake with Military Honors.
