Titus Funeral Home Earns Prestigious National Award
WARSAW — Titus Funeral Home has been honored by the National Funeral Directors Association with the 2017 Pursuit of Excellence Award. This is the second consecutive year the 61-year old firm has been awarded the honor.
Pursuit of Excellence Award recipients are known for consistently raising the bar on funeral service excellence, adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards and providing unsurpassed service to families and their communities.
NFDA is the world’s leading and largest funeral service association, serving 19,700 individual members. Of the firms represented, only a select group received this prestigious recognition, placing Titus Funeral Home among an elite group of funeral service providers.
To earn an NFDA Pursuit of Excellence Award, a participating funeral home must exceed business standards set forth by the program and demonstrate proficiency in key areas of funeral service, such as compliance with state and federal regulations; providing ongoing education and professional development opportunities for staff; offering outstanding programs and resources to bereaved families; maintaining an active level of involvement within the community; participating and actively serving in the funeral service profession; and promoting funeral home services through a variety of marketing, advertising and public relations programs. Participants are also required to adhere to a Pledge of Ethical Practices.
“I believe that being awarded the Pursuit of Excellence reflects our ongoing dedication to the community and to the families we serve. This recognition can help to assure grieving families that they will receive the highest quality care from the moment they walk through our front door,” said Kathy Titus, owner of the funeral home. “Titus Funeral Home has always been a trusted provider of funeral services here in Kosciusko County and it is an honor to be recognized for the quality and compassion of our care.”
