Paul T. Heiman Sr.
Paul T. Heiman Sr., 94, of Warsaw passed away on Dec. 10, 2017, in his residence. He was born to Anthony and Sophia (Uhlenhake) Heiman on Sept. 20, 1923 in Columbia City.
He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army as T-5 with the 723rd Railway Operating Battalion from 1943 to 1946 in the European Theater of Operations. On Sept. 4, 1943, he was united in marriage to Gloria Rinkal in Warsaw who preceded him on May 16, 2016. Heiman along with Gloria was the co-owner in the family firm, Paul Heiman Builder for 25 years and was employed with Lucas Real Estate for 10 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw and American Legion Post #49 of Warsaw.
He is survived by his daughter Judy Heiman of Warsaw and brothers Richard (spouse Mary) Heiman of Warsaw, Ray (spouse Jacki) Heiman of Carmel and William (spouse Beverly) Heiman of Warsaw.
He was preceded by his wife, one son Paul Thomas Heiman, Jr., sisters Evelyn Yarian, Rosemary Kerr and Eloise Kinsey and brothers James and Leo Heiman.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Father Matthias Alonyenu officiating. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post #49 and V.F.W. Post #1126 and the United States Army Funeral Honors Detail.
