Bernace J. Nordman
Bernace J. Nordman, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 5:23 a.m on Dec. 10, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. The daughter of Cledith O. and Eunice Marie (Montel) Coble, Bernace was born on April 17, 1932, in Claypool.
She was employed at RBM Manufacturing in North Manchester, and later began working for Singer Controls, North Manchester, where she worked for 31 years and served as a vice president and president of Local UAW 2209. After working for controls, she went on to work for and retired from Walmart in Warsaw where she worked in the electronics department and was known as the “The Movie Queen.” When Bernace wasn’t working, she enjoyed reading and watching movies.
The loving memory of Bernace will be survived by her son, Michael W. Nordman, Warsaw; two daughters, Cheryl (Paul) Jenkins, Warsaw, and Ginny (Chet) Flora, North Manchester; two brothers, Donald Coble, Port Orford, OR and Larry (Karen) Coble, Warsaw; one step-brother, Wayne Marshall, Syracuse; two sisters, Joyce (Jack) Hicks, Pierceton, and Linda (David) Cripe, Claypool; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cledith and Eunice Coble; one brother, Jerry Coble; one sister, Patricia Hall; and two step-sisters Pat Betten and Eunice Robinson.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, at McKee Mortuary, with calling one hour prior to the beginning of the funeral service. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, CR 300E and CR 1000N, Servia. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.
