Arlie ‘Wayne’ Reffitt — UPDATED
Arlie “Wayne” Reffitt, 60, Silver Lake, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, in his residence. He was born April 12, 1957 in Prestonsburg, Ken. to Joe Wheeler and Josephine (Adams) Reffitt. He was united in marriage to Richelle Miller on June 14, 1986 in Warsaw.
A Kentucky resident for two years he moved to Indiana and resided in the Claypool area for 58 years. He was employed as a polisher beginning with Whimet and Hand Industries eventually moving to Depuy, Inc. and attained 20 years of service. A hard worker and very loving husband and a good father he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid hunter and raised beagles and other animals. He loved going to church and serving the Lord and was member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County. Wayne left behind many good memories of friends and family, all the while knowing he will be reunited with them again in Heaven. He will be missed, but if we keep holding on to the Lord, we are confident we will be with him again someday.
Survivors include his wife Richelle Reffitt of Silver Lake, sisters JoAnn Bradley of Warsaw, Kim (spouse Kelly) Schneider of Bremen, son Blade Miller Reffitt and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents and a sister Vickie Reffitt.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec.16, 2017, in the First Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Bradford, Wedstel Shepherd and Luther Bailey officiating. Visitation hours are scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Church. A Service will follow at 7 p.m. Friday with family and friends. Interment will be in Sycamore Cemetery, Fulton County. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
