Delia Anne Keene
Delia Anne Keene, 91, Tippecanoe, passed away at 8:25 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
On June 18, 1926, Delia was born in Barron, Wisc. to Edwin Clark and Pearl Evangeline Edwards Hall.
Delia and Glen Keene were married on July 25, 1944 at the 1st Christian Church of Rochester. They shared 46 years of life’s adventures. Sadly, Glen passed away in 1990. Their union produced two beautiful daughters and three handsome sons. Three more generations have been added to the family tree.
As a farmer’s wife, Delia assisted with the daily chores of the home and the farm. For 25 years she worked at Uniroyal. She was also a cashier at the dime store in Warsaw and a caregiver for the elderly. Her memberships include the Tippecanoe Methodist Church, Good Sam’s Club and the Tippecanoe Fireman’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, embroidering pillows and sewing clothing for her family and friends. Sitting down with a good book was a great way to relax. Her favorite authors were Danielle Steel and Debbie Macomber.
Delia is lovingly remembered by two daughters: Becky Hisey and husband Robert of Rochester, Patricia Honeycutt and husband Royd of Tippecanoe; three sons: Robert Keene of Rochester, Michael Keene and wife Kimberly of New Orleans, Steven Keene and wife Cindy of Warsaw; 15 grandchildren: Angela Cali and husband Tony, Timothy Hisey, Chad Hisey and wife Cari, Jackie Wyatt and husband Mark, Randy Keene and wife Sarah, Rodney Honeycutt and wife Raelynne, Jeremy Honeycutt and wife Pam, Kristie Keene, Katelin Keene, Steven Keene and wife Kristi, Matthew Keene and wife Carrissa, Cheyenne Keene, Kendra Keene, Guidry Hisey; eight great grandchildren: Ian Cali, Noah Cali, Jameson Wyatt, Jazzen Wyatt, Madelyn Honeycutt, Morgan Honeycutt, Colton Honeycutt, Emily Honeycutt; two great great grandchildren: Hayden Honeycutt, Kilynn Keene; two sisters, Nora McMillen, of McComb, Mich., and Joyce Hensley of Tippecanoe; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Delia in death are her husband Glen, parents and daughter-in-law Alberta Keene.
Matthew Fretz will officiate services. Interment will be in the Tippecanoe Cemetery.
