New Residential Wastewater Billing To Result In One Time Gap, New Charges, Due Dates
WARSAW — Following the adoption of a new Wastewater rate ordinance to support the upcoming wastewater rehabilitation and replacement project, billing cycles and processes for residents will change.
Residents will not receive a bill during the month of December. Instead, the wastewater bill for December’s service will be received in January, likely later in the month. Moving forward, all bills will continue to be received the month after service has been provided. Residents will likely have a new billing due date, and that date will be on their new bill that is received in January.
Wastewater billing will now be based on usage, with a monthly base charge of $8.21 to support conveyance systems, plus $5.65 per 1,000 gallons of usage. All dwelling units will continue to pay a $2.95 monthly stormwater fee. Due to fluctuations in usage each month, residents may experience fluctuations in their bill from month to month, a change from the previous flat monthly amounts they were accustomed to.
