South Whitley Man Entered Through Second-Story Window, Battered Mother Of His Child
SOUTH WHITLEY — A South Whitley man was arrested after he entered through a second-story bedroom window and battered the mother of his child.
Dillon Michael Alma, 18, 8306 West CR 300S, South Whitley, is being charged with residential entry, strangulation, domestic battery with a child present, criminal confinement and domestic battery causing moderate bodily injury, all level 6 felonies.
On Nov. 25, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic dispute. The victim stated she had heard a knock on her second-story bedroom window. She opened the window and without her consent Alma forced his way into the bedroom.
The victim’s brother was in another room of the house so she attempted to call for help. At this time, Alma held her down and covered her mouth. He also placed a hand on her neck, restricting her ability to breathe.
Alma then physically stopped the female from leaving the bedroom and slammed her on the floor. As a result of the altercation, the victim had abrasions and marks on her left arm. The officer was able to observe and photograph the injuries.
The officer spoke with Alma who admitted to entering the bedroom through the window. He further admitted to refusing to let the victim leave the room.
Present in the bedroom during the altercation was the victim’s and Alma’s minor child.
Alma was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 25, with a $20,250 surety and cash bond.
