Salvation Army Collecting Donations Through Angels Of Hope Program
KOSCIUSKO — The Salvation Army has instituted the Angel of Hope program as an outreach not only at Christmas but throughout the year to help individuals and families in need.
The Angel of Hope program helps those who are striving to attain goals to improve their lives through the Pathway of Hope program or facing crisis due to health issues, fire and disaster. Also helped are veterans who need assistance to know someone cares and appreciates their service and single parents or grandparents who struggle to make ends meet with raising children on low or fixed income.
The Angel of Hope outreach will give to families throughout the year who face these and other situations. Recipients are given a storage container with new items such as towels, dish cloths, socks, underwear, toothbrushes, books, toys and blankets. Financial donations are used to purchase the containers, soap, toothpaste, shampoo and other items.
The Warsaw Public Library, 310 E. Main St., has an Angel of Hope tree collecting these items until Dec. 15. Donations can also be dropped off at The Salvation Army, 501 E. Arthur St., Warsaw. For more information call (574) 267-5361.
