Warsaw Swim: Boys, Girls Go 1-1 In NLC Action
MIDDLEBURY – The Warsaw boys and girls swim teams each went 1-1 in a Northern Lakes Conference triangular at Northridge Tuesday night.
The Warsaw boys team dropped a 94-76 final to the host Raiders and beat Elkhart Memorial 109-61. Northridge beat Memorial 117-51.
On the girls side, Warsaw topped Memorial 147-30 and lost to undefeated Northridge 132-53. The Raiders beat Memorial 144-33.
A trio of swimmers posted wins for the Warsaw boys team in the conference meet. Evan Borchers won the 100 fly in a time of 56.73. Alex Cook was first in the 100 freestyle in a time of 51.71 and Grant Knight won the 100 breaststroke race in 1:00.85 for the Tigers.
The Northridge girls team won every single event to improve to 7-0 on the season.
Warsaw got second-place finishes in the meet from Olivia Herman (50 freestyle) and Delaney Wihebrink (100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke).
The Warsaw boys team is now 2-2 on the season, while the ladies are 3-1.
Warsaw will host conference foe Goshen Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
