Donald W. King
Donald W. King, 85, Wabash, died at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. He was born June 30, 1932 in Jackson, Mich. to Charles Franklin and Vera E. (Clawson) King.
Don married Anna B. Smith in Huntington on Oct. 20, 1951; she died March 1, 2016. He worked at Container Corporation in Wabash, retiring after 42 years. He was a member of the Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church in Wabash, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by five children, Rae Hall of Wabash, Kay (Stan) Fetter of Huntington, Don (Patty) King of Denver, Indiana, Mike King of Seminole, Florida, and Terry (Kathrine) King of Wabash, two brothers, Doug (Patty) King of Roann, Indiana, and Gene (Bert) King of North Manchester, Indiana, Sister, Sarah “Sally” Wilkerson of Wabash, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert King, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and his step-mother, Louise King.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Terry Hinds officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund.
