Boys Basketball
LCA bounced back from a tough loss Friday night to pull off a road victory at Hamilton, 57-46, Saturday afternoon.
Josh McDaniel had a fine game for the Cougars with 24 points, hitting four from long range. Jake Harmon also hit four from deep and finished with 16 points and four assists. Elijah Raymond added eight points and six rebounds.
Hamilton had three players in double digits in the scorebook, led by Dustin Cool’s 12 points and seven rebounds. Bailey Merritt had 11 points and five rebounds and Griffin Kohli added 10 points.
The LCA JV claimed a 45-31 win at Hamilton. Trenton Parker had a big game for the Cougars with 20 points.
LCA (2-2) will visit Benton Homeschool on Tuesday.
Girls Basketball
In the first game at Hamilton, the LCA girls walloped the Marines 77-18.
Hope Fancil broke out of her shooting slump with 27 points and added 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
Tori Calizo also had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, Jess Slone pulled down 15 rebounds to go with eight points and three steals, and Anna Reimink had 10 points, 10 steals, eight assists and four rebounds.
LCA as a team had 60 total rebounds, 23 steals and 16 assists on the day.
The Lady Cougars (5-3) will host Bethany Christian Tuesday.
