Valley Boys Basketball: Vikings Fall Short At Argos
ARGOS — Tippecanoe Valley’s boys basketball team came up a bucket short to host Argos, 25-23, in a low-scoring game on the road Tuesday.
The Vikings (0-2) trailed 20-15 headed into the final frame but couldn’t quite come all the way back.
Valley surrendered just eight turnovers at the contest compared to 19 by Argos (2-0) but converted those extra opportunities into only nine points off turnovers. Tanner Trippiedi led the Vikings in the scoring column with eight points, followed by Dakota Parker’s seven. Parkur Dalrymple led Valley in rebounding with three as the Vikings were out-rebounded 15-12 by their hosts.
The visitors finished 2 for 18 from 3-point range in the contest, including an 0-for-10 mark over the second and third quarters.
Diego Elejabeitia scored nine points to pace Argos, while Ian Kindig scored seven for the Dragons, who converted 10 of 20 shots at the game and scored 18 points in the paint.
