ITEEA Elects Richcreek To Board Of Directors
WARSAW — Abbi Richcreek of Edgewood Middle School has been elected to serve on the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association board of directors for Region II. Region II is comprised of Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Ontario and Quebec. This position is one of only eleven board members that guide ITEEA.
ITEEA is known as bringing STEM to life through advancing technology and engineering capabilities for all students preK-12. She will begin her two-year term at the culmination of ITEEA’s 80th Anniversary Conference in April of 2018.
Richcreek has taught in the Warsaw Community Schools for a decade. In September, she received the Indiana Engineering/Technology Middle School Teacher Excellence Award. She has been active in IACTE & E/TEI by holding various offices in both organizations, from secretary to president. Richcreek continuously promotes STEM education through presenting at various local and state conferences. She has written and received numerous grants for the district and is the lead organizer for WCS’s Vex Robotics State Qualifier and Vex Exhibition tournaments.
