Free Preschool Available For Low-Income Families
KOSCIUSKO – Kosciusko County parents of four-year-olds have a new opportunity to get their children free, full-day preschool, thanks to a pilot initiative called On My Way Pre-K.
Kosciusko County will begin offering free preschool in January. Enrollment is happening now. A limited number of spots are available at participating preschools in Mentone, Milford, North Webster, Syracuse and Warsaw.
Qualified families will:
- Have a child who turned 4-years-old by Aug.1, 2017,
- Qualify for low-income assistance,
- Have all parents/guardians in the home working or attending school (can be part-time)
Children who are in foster care also qualify and their foster families do not need to meet the income requirements.
To learn more or to enroll in the program, families are encouraged to call 2-1-1 or to visit www.onmywayprek.org.
