Lloyd Earl Kammerdiener
Lloyd Earl Kammerdiener, 84, Syracuse, passed away at 7:29 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. He was born on Oct. 3, 1933 in Goshen to Volney G. and Hazel M. (Lewallen) Kammerdiener.
He moved to Syracuse in 1948 from Goshen and graduated in 1952 from New Paris High School. On Aug. 3, 1963 in Erie he married Lucille “Lucy” (Babcock) Miller, who survives. He retired on Aug. 12, 2005 from Smoker Craft in New Paris. Formerly employed at Weatherhead in Syracuse, Switches in Goshen, and Kreuter Manufacturing in New Paris.
He was a member of the Syracuse Church of God where he held many various offices.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters: Cathy Marie (Michael) Coy, Syracuse; Amy Sue (Jon) Lippe, Claypool; six grandchildren: Alissa Hewitt, Cayla Coy, Tiffany (Travis) Goff, Liza Lippe, Madelyn Lippe and Bryce Lippe; four step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren and one step great-great granddaughter; a brother Ralph (Doris) Kammerdiener, Syracuse, also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tonda Kay (Miller) Hewitt, and sister and brother in law – Delores & John Hartzler.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 27 in the funeral home with Pastors Stan Owen and Derek Coy officiating. Burial will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.
