Etna Green Teen Arrested For Counterfeit $100 Bills
KOSCIUSKO — On Monday, Nov. 20, Warsaw Police officers received information on the location of Samantha Burleson, 18, Etna Green. Burleson is suspected of passing several counterfeit $100 bills to local stores.
Warsaw Police officers made contact with Burleson and placed her under arrest. Burleson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on charges of level 6 felony counterfeiting.
The Warsaw Police Department had received numerous reports of counterfeit currency being used at local stores. The $100 bills that were being passed are either marked with “Souvenir of America” on the left side of the bill or, “FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY” on the right side of the bill. These bills have been passed at numerous stores in the Warsaw area.
The Warsaw Police Department wants to remind everyone to stay vigilant of counterfeit currency during the holiday season. If you receive counterfeit currency, report it to your local law enforcement agency.
