Elma Dean Myers
Elma Dean “Deanie” Myers, 94, New Paris, died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at Goshen Hospital.
She was born Aug. 21, 1923 in Springfield, Ill. to Harry E. and H. Bernice (Snelson) Paxton. On July 3, 1945, she married George W. Myers and he died April 16, 1995.
Elma worked at Penn Controls, Stiver’s General Store and sold Avon for many years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in New Paris and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 985.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy (Steve) Hollar, New Paris, grandson, Seth (Tabitha) Myers, Goshen, granddaughters, Justina (Jason) Kramer, Wakarusa, Amber (Aaron) Weishaar, Carmel and great-grandchildren, Chase Myers, Saige Kramer, Meghan Weishaar & Katie Weishaar.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, son, Michael J. Myers, great-grandson Asher Myers and sisters, Wilberta Ridenoure & Gladys Gulick.
Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Pastor Rob Nelson will be officiating. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in New Paris or the American Diabetes Association.
