Kosciusko Democrats Host Halloween Party For Beaman Home
KOSCIUSKO — Children affected by domestic violence who are currently residing at the Beaman Home with their abused parent were the recipients of a Halloween celebration. Due to concerns about the family’s safety, these children are not able to take part of many of the common community Halloween activities. Through the generosity of the Kosciusko County Democratic Party, many activities were created to help the children feel normal. Families enjoyed face painting, temporary tattoos, balloons, bobbing for apples and lots of candy.
Children and their parents had the opportunity to laugh and enjoy bobbing for apples together. The event helped to normalize their lives and break down barriers within the family by offering relaxing situations and inspiring a better mood.
The Beaman Home says, “Thank You, Kosciusko County Democrats, for giving your time and talents to children who are hurting.”
