Evelyn Johnson, 91, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Nov. 5, 2017, at Greencroft in Goshen.

She was born on Feb. 7, 1926 in North Webster to Homer Russell and Elizabeth (Mock) Baker.

On April 29, 1945 she married Frank Johnson who preceded her in 2000. She was a 1944 Miflord High School Graduate. She was a member of the New Salem Church of the Brethren, and most recently the New Paris Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her two daughters: Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Schmidt of Bremen; and Nancy Stansberry of Fort Wayne; three grandsons and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, son Arnold Russell Johnson, infant sister Dorothy Jane Baker, two brothers Bruce and Phillip Baker.

Services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, at the Eastlund Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Godfrey officiating. Calling will be two hours prior from 1:30 until 3:30. Burial will follow at the Syracuse cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Paris Church of the Brethren.
