Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, West CR 300S, west of South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Jeffrey P. Dickerson, 67, Talley Ho Circle, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, East CR 350N, east of North Airport Road, Warsaw. Driver: Evelyn A. Chavez, 60, Heron Blvd., Warsaw. Driver struck a deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, SR 13, south of East CR 600S, Sidney. Driver: Christian E. Troutt, 52, Morrish Road, Montrose, Mich. Troutt’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
5:11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, North SR 19, north of West CR 1100N, Nappanee. Drivers: Derek J. Flenner, 24, West Pike Street, Warsaw, and Chad M. Kaylor, 46, Linden Road, Argos. Flenner’s vehicle rear-ended Kaylor’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
11:58 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, East CR 200N, east of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Driver: Jeyner P. Lucas, 19, East Center Street, Warsaw. Lucas advised he lost control of his vehicle due to wet road conditions and went off the roadway, striking a fence. Lucas was cited for not ever having a driver’s license. He complained of knee pain and was taken to the hospital. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, East Prairie Street, west of South Detroit Street. Driver: Bernard L. Manns, 50, P.O. Box 382, Silver Lake. While attempting to avoid a deer that had run in front of his vehicle, Manns sideswiped a NIPSCO utility pole before colliding with the deer. Damage up to $2,500.
1:01 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, South Detroit Street, south of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Derek A. Ripplinger, 31, SR 114W, North Manchester, Carmen E. Carreon, 31, North CR 175E, Warsaw, and Naomi T. Villa, 17, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Ripplinger’s vehicle rear-ended Carreon’s vehicle, pushing Carreon’s vehicle into the rear of Villa’s vehicle. Carreon was cited for not having a valid driver’s license. Damage up to $25,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, Seminary Drive, Winona Lake. Driver: Houston M. Haney, 19, North CR 900W, Shipshewana. Haney struck a parked vehicle while backing out of a parking space at Grace College. Damage up to $5,000.
