DeFries Arrested For Invasion Of Privacy, Caught With Drugs
ATWOOD — An Atwood man was being served an arrest warrant for invasion of privacy when an officer discovered methamphetamine and Tramadol on his person.
Zachary Richard DeFries, 28, 322 E. High St., Atwood, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; and invasion of privacy, a class A misdemeanor.
On Oct. 20, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department went to serve an active arrest warrant on DeFries. After arrested DeFries, the officer searched his person and discovered a plastic bag containing methamphetamine and Tramadol, a schedule IV controlled substance. DeFries admitted he did not have a prescription for the medication.
DeFries was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 20, with a $6,750 surety and cash bond.
