Dale D. Gagnon
Dale D. Gagnon, 83, North Manchester, died at 6:26 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 at Peabody Home where he had been a resident since Oct. 4.
He was born June 20, 1934 in Wabash County, a son of Russel C. and Annabelle (Hamilton) Gagnon. His formative years were spent in the Silver Lake and South Whitley areas. He graduated from South Whitley High School.
On May 6, 1955 he was united in marriage to Rosemary O. Haney. They made their home in North Manchester for six months, South Whitley, Tunker from 1966 until 1996 when they returned to North Manchester.
Dale owned and operated radiator repair and janitorial service companies, retiring in 1996.
He attended Silver Lake Church of God and was a member of Gideons International.
Surviving relatives include his wife of over 62 years, Rosemary; two daughters, Janet Sue (Jay) Freel of Pierceton and Lorene Kay (Duwayne) Guy of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Otis Harold (Jeanne) Gagnon of New York, Clifford Lee (Irene) Gagnon of Leesburg and Russell C. (Lois) Gagnon of North Manchester; and a sister, Eva Marie (Bill) Parcell of Wakarusa.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. The burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
