Warsaw Man Arrested For Resisting Law Enforcement
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after fleeing from an officer. When officers located the man a day later, he was discovered with drugs and fled from officers again.
Timothy D. Freeman, 23, 346 E. Deerwood Court, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor.
On Oct. 1, an officer observed a silver minivan that matched the description of a vehicle that fled from officers the previous day. The officer checked the registration plate of the vehicle and confirmed it was the same vehicle that fled. The officer then activated his emergency lights and approached the vehicle.
While the officer was trying to identify the female driver, Freeman exited the passenger side of the vehicle. At that time, a hypodermic syringe fell to the ground by Freeman’s right foot. Freeman then fled on foot from the area and officers were unable to locate him.
While searching the vehicle, officers were able to discover an additional hypodermic syringe near the passenger seat that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Freeman was arrested on a warrant and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 14, with a $10,500 surety and cash bond.
