Crosswinds Brings Mental Health Related Seminars To Warsaw
WARSAW — Crosswinds, a non-profit organization that specializes in therapeutic counseling and coaching, is offering helpful and interactive seminars in Warsaw that cover a variety of mental health issues.
One in four people in this country struggle with mental illness but only a third of them seek help, according to Jacquie Downey, vice president of marketing at Crosswinds.
She continues, “We want to break down the stigma surrounding mental health issues. These seminars offer a small step for those who may not feel ready or still feel embarrassed to reach out for help. It also provides support to family members whose loved ones may be struggling.”
These seminars are led by Crosswinds therapists and deal with a variety of topics. Upcoming classes will address conflict resolution, how to parent with boundaries, how to connect and understand your spouse and how trauma effects children. These classes are open to the public, and Crosswinds welcomes individuals, parents, teachers or other mental health professionals.
All classes begin at 6 p.m. and are located at the Kosciusko Community YMCA. To register or view the complete listing of seminars please visit Crosswinds.org/events.
