Eleanor M. Schmucker
Eleanor M. Schmucker, age 89, of Nappanee, died at 4:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where she had resided for one year. She was born June 15, 1928 in Nappanee to Claude and Gladys (Leasenby) Stout.
Mrs. Schmucker lived her lifetime in Nappanee. She attended Nappanee schools. On Dec. 20, 1946, she married Tony Raymond “Bud” Schmucker. He survives, along with their children, Connie Peach, Peru, Tod (Laurie) Schmucker, Alan (Mona) Schmucker, both of Nappanee; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Peach, and brothers, Leonard and Richard Stout.
Mrs. Schmucker was a homemaker and a member of First Mennonite Church. She enjoyed singing, yodeling, and playing music.
Family and friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9 and for one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, Tuesday, Oct. 10, all at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
Rev. Janet McFall-Brown will officiate and burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
