Ahuatl Officially Charged For Sept. 12 Incident
WARSAW — Official charges of domestic battery causing moderate bodily injury, criminal confinement, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor, were filed against Ricardo Cacahua Ahuatl, 21, 1692 E. 200N, No. 205, Warsaw. The charges were filed in Kosciusko Superior Court I.
He was arrested Sept. 12, and held on $11,250 surety and cash bond.
Charging information, filed with the courts, reports police responded to a witness hearing a female screaming and making a statement she wanted to go home. The witness told police the screaming was coming from a vehicle parked along the street in Warsaw.
When the vehicle was located, a female was found sitting in the backseat with blood coming from her mouth, a chipped/broken tooth, cuts and swelling to her upper and lower lip, and a bruise on her left lower leg. Ahuatl was also found sitting in the vehicle.
The victim told police she and her boyfriend had been arguing and he kicked her in the leg and struck her in the mouth with a closed fist. He then confined her to the vehicle when she attempted to leave. She rolled down the rear window and yelled for help before he closed the window and would not allow her to exit the vehicle.
Ahuatl admitted to police they were arguing and he did hit her in the mouth. He stated he stopped in the parking lot so he could talk to her and clean the blood from her face. He also admitted he did not allow her to exit the vehicle because he wanted to clean up the blood and talk to her.
