Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, West CR 700S, east of South CR 100W, Claypool. Driver: Darlene R. Eherenman, 56, East Main Street, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
4:22 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, South SR 25 and West CR 950S, Warsaw. Drivers: Esther L. May, 81, South Nellie Boulevard, Claypool, and Zachary C. Arnett, 16, South SR 15, Silver Lake. May failed to see the Arnett vehicle before entering the intersection. Damage up to $25,000.
4:46 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, South Higbee Street, north of East CR 1150N, Milford. Drivers: Leticia Romero, 45, East Wellington Drive, Warsaw, and James W. Ross, 48, Tippecanoe Drive No. D, Warsaw. Romero swerved off the road to miss another vehicle in front of her, hitting a utility pole guide wire and hitting the Ross vehicle, turning into a parking lot. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:49 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, US 30, west of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Linda S. Allen, 73, West Old Road 30, Warsaw; Maria I. Sanchez, 38, West Old Road 30 No. 55E, Warsaw; and Jacquelyn G. Sebesta, 59, Trailridge North, Mishawaka. Sanchez complained of pain to the elbow/lower arm but refused medical treatment. Allen’s vehicle struck the back of the Sanchez vehicle, which pushed the Sanchez vehicle into the back of the Sebesta vehicle. Sanchez was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s license. Damage up to $25,000.
3:09 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, South Logan Street, south of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Alexander B. Fisher, 18, EMS T34 Lane, Leesburg, and Charles L. Lamb, 69, East CR 600N, North Webster. Fisher’s vehicle struck the back of the Warsaw Community School bus driven by Lamb. Damage up to $1,000.
10:21 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, East Center Street, west of North Hickory Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Heidi J. Sexton, 41, South Old Ditch Road, Warsaw, and Eric M. Rhodes, 32, North Parker Street, No. 4, Warsaw. Sexton panicked when the railroad crossing arms began to come down when she was at the tracks and backed her vehicle in to the Rhodes vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
