Warsaw Man Arrested For Growing Marijuana, Dealing Marijuana And Meth
WARSAW — A Warsaw man is facing possession and dealing charges after officers discovered marijuana-growing areas inside his residence along with evidence of dealing marijuana and methamphetamine.
Jason Joseph Bussie, 43, 425 North Roosevelt St., Warsaw, was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine, a level 5 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; dealing in marijuana in an amount in excess of 30 grams, a level 5 felony; and possession of marijuana, a level 6 felony.
Officers with the Indiana State Police received information that Bussie was cultivating marijuana at his Warsaw residence. A search warrant was obtained, and officers arrived at Bussie’s residence on July 19. After knocking on the door several times, officers made entry into the residence. Upon entry, Bussie was seen flushing marijuana down the toilet.
Inside the residence, officers found two separate areas set up for cultivating marijuana. The areas contained equipment such as growing lights and air filters. Officers also discovered a digital scale and a glass jar that contained methamphetamine.
Two gallon-sized bags containing 353 grams of marijuana were located inside the residence. Officers also removed 16.3 grams of marijuana from the toilet. A notepad that was identified as a drug ledger and $3,200 cash were found, along with several smoking devices and other drug paraphernalia.
Bussie admitted to being the only person who lived at the residence. He admitted to having two areas to grow marijuana but stated he had not grown marijuana for a few months. He did advise that the marijuana found had been grown in the residence.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and Bussie was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 22. He has a bond of $10,250 surety and cash.
