Purdue Club Of Kosciusko County Announces Scholarship Recipients
WARSAW — Members of the Purdue Club of Kosciusko County are pleased to announce the 2017 recipients of the Purdue Scholars of Kosciusko County Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to Kosciusko County residents who are in their junior or senior year at Purdue University who demonstrate work ethic and academic success, and who participate in community service.
The 2017 recipients of $1,000 scholarships are Maryl Gerst, Jacob Semonis and Kristen Watson. Gerst is a Lakeland Christian Academy graduate who is studying Nursing. Semonis and Watson are graduates of Warsaw Community High School. Semonis is studying Agriculture Economics and Agronomy and Watson is studying Financial Counseling and Planning.
The Purdue Scholars of Kosciusko County Scholarship is a component fund of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. It was established with donations from the Purdue Club of Kosciusko County.
Since 1968, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc. has helped donors achieve their charitable dreams. The Community Foundation is a public charity that grants over $2 million annually in the areas of education, health, arts and culture, recreation, civic projects, environment and human services. Gifts made to the Community Foundation are tax-deductible.
