BOURBON — Lester G. Sellers, Bourbon, died as a result of a farming accident at 9:07 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22. The accident occurred at 3523 9B Road, Bourbon.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, authorities were called to the 9B Road location for a serious farming incident involving a tractor. Upon arrival, Sellers was found to be deceased from apparent injuries sustained in the accident involving the tractor.

Police learned Sellers was working on the tractor when it slipped into gear, causing him to be swept under the back tires. A small fire was caused by the tractor’s engine, but was quickly extinguished by the Bourbon Fire Department.

The investigation was handled by the Marshall County Coroner’s office.
