NorthWood Golf: Cripe, Richner Among Academic All-State
INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of NorthWood senior golfers were chosen among the top getting it done in the classroom and on the golf course.
Hope Cripe and Madison Richner were both chosen as Honorable Mention Academic All-State by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association. Cripe and Richner are multi-year starters for coach Adam Yoder’s NorthWood golf team that has seen its share of success in recent years. Cripe and Richner have helped NorthWood win the last six Northern Lakes Conference golf tournament titles, rattle off 43 straight NLC dual wins, and reach the regional level of the state tournament for the seventh straight year.
The two NorthWood girls were among 25 chosen as Honorable Mention, which included from the area Alexis Stuckey of DeKalb, Allison Coyne of South Bend St. Joseph’s and Summer Konkle of Westview.
Chosen as Academic All-State from the area included Kendra Pugh of Caston, Bayley Stuckey of DeKalb, Shelby Targgart of East Noble, Maggie Fashbaugh of Elkhart Memorial, Olivia Thomas of Goshen, Margaret McCoy of Westview. There were 17 total golfers chosen for Academic All-State.
