Warsaw Approves Contract For Fire House
WARSAW — It may have been the fastest meeting ever to occur for a Warsaw Board of Works meeting. The entire meeting took a total of three minutes — eight if one includes the five minute wait for council member Jeff Grose.
Warsaw Board of Works approved the contract with Mosaic Building Solution, having accepted the $2.44 million bid earlier this month for construction of Fire Station 3.
While Grose never showed, the board needed to only have 2-0 vote for the contract to be approved. Clemens moved to motion the approval after Mayor Joe Thallemer did a brief background of the contract. Thallemer seconded the motion, pushing the contract through 2-0.
“This has been a long time coming,” said council member George Clemens. “I used to be on the fire…board so this is a good moment, and I know the council is supportive of this. It’s been studied for a long time.”
