Habitat For Humanity’s Wawasee Walk Taking Place Sept. 24
SYRACUSE — The Wawasee Walk is taking place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, beginning at the Syracuse Community Center. The walk is sponsored by the Syracuse-North Webster Ministerial Association.
This is an annual fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. It will also help benefit the Rose Home, a Christian-based halfway house, to help drug and alcohol addicted women get their lives back on track, and Syracuse Wawasee Ministerial Association, an assistance fund to the help community members pay for items like gas, prescription and utilities.
Two options are available for the walk. One route goes around Syracuse Lake and is approximately 4 1/2 miles. The other route will go to the Rose Home and back and is approximately 2 1/2 miles.
The Rose Home will also be offering refreshments and tours of the facility during that time.
Get a group of friends and come on out to the lake in Syracuse or sponsor a walker. All of the proceeds will go to help all three nonprofit organizations.
Register by calling the office at (574) 269-4104.
